Presidential Palace

Presidential Palace is a National Cultural Heritage Conservation Unit and also a famous sightseeing spot. Presidential Palace in many well-preserved remains of Chinese and Western architecture, it is the unique culture and rich history. It has beautiful natural environment and nearly 30000 square meters leisure zone. The total area of the Presidential Palace covers a space of 90000 m2 and divided into 3 parts: the Central Line, the West Garden (Xu Yuan Garden), and the East Garden. Presidential Palace has many historical relics and a beautiful scenery.

The Qinhuai River

The Qinhuai river is a river that runs through central Nanjing. It’s also the birthplace of the age-old Nanjing culture. As such, it’s called “Nanjing’s mother river”. It is the “life blood” of the city. The Qinhuai River is divided in to inner and outer rivers. Today, the scenic belt along the Qinhuai River develops with the Confucius Temple at the center and the river serving as a bond. The belt featuring attractions like Zhanyuan Garden, the Confucius Temple, Egret Islet, China Gate as well as the sailing boats in the river and pavilions and towers on the riverbanks is a blend of historic sites, gardens, barges, streets, pavilions, towers and folk culture and customs.

Confucius Temple

Confucius Temple, known as Fuzi Miao, is built to worship the great Chinese thinker Confucius in 1034. It enjoys a typical architectural style from the Ming and Qing dynasties. As the capital of 6 dynasties, Nanjing was one of the most famous cultural and commercial center. At that time, most of the rich merchants and literary man lived along the Qinhuai River, especially around the Confucius Temple area. Nowadays, you will find it is still a bustling place where local restaurants are always busy and full. If you hunt for folk souvenirs and obtain a real Chinese bargain experience, the night market is a great choice for an after-dinner walk.

Xuanwu Lake Park

Xuanwu Lake Park was the largest Imperial lake garden in the south of China, known as the crown jewel of Jinling. The scenery of Xuanwu Lake is not only the nature landscape, but also the history of Ming City Wall and skyscrapers of modern city.There are nice walk ways surrounding the lake. Especially in the evening, this is an ideal place for jogging, relaxing strolling or just going for a walk. If you are interested in how Nanjingers spending their nights, this is the place.

Jiming Temple

The Jiming temple is a very renowned Buddhist temple in Nanjing, a place of harmony and serenity. It was built in XiJin Dynasty and named as Jiming Temple in the Ming Dynasty in 1387. Merging the incense together with the calm and relaxing, there is an eight floor pagoda, with fascinating Buddha statues and breathtaking view over the Xuanwu Lake, Purple Mountain, Ming City Wall, city center and the Yangtze River.There is a very famous vegetarian restaurant located at the top.
